- Power Morphicon 2012 has officially been announced. It will be held August 17-19, 2012 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California, although attending on the 17th is limited to preregistrants only just like in the past.

- Power Rangers on Netflix has been encountering problems for people over the last five days, primarily due to the fact that all 732 episodes under one TV show has been causing any and all Netflix apps to choke past ep 255 (watching past that via browser on your computer works fine). The folks behind Netflix have attempted to circumvent this issue in the last day or two by logically splitting the show into seasons, but people here and there have still been reporting issues. We'll keep you updated.

- According to the official Twitter account, new episodes of Samurai will start airing again "later this summer". It also claims classic PR eps will be airing on TV later this year, available at some undisclosed location online as well.
- This year's Licensing International Expo begins tomorrow and runs through Thursday. This is the convention we usually get news from about future PR toylines and distribution opportunities, and in rare cases the synopsis and logo for next year's season (no guarantee on that one this time though). The "Holy Crap, Two Weeks Adds Up" Edition

News
- This first bit of news is a non-franchise deal, probably more suited for the Editor's Note, but we wanted to make sure everyone saw it. Basically, we're looking for some new folks to help out around these parts! angel_negra and lielabell had to leave the SR for greener pastures (we will miss them greatly, of course), so we're in the market for two new editors. If any of you are interested, please hit us up at spandexreport@gmail.com.
- As you may have noticed from the lack of a "Next Episode Airtimes" section below, last Saturday's ep "Boxed In" seems to be the last for a while. We're currently on reruns now and will be for some time to come, it seems. Whether this is only a short break or whether the original word on the streets about Samurai lasting two years is true remains to be seen.
- Speaking of Samurai, a new video game by Namco Bandai was revealed at E3 today that will be coming out this holiday season for Wii and DS. A trailer can be seen on Youtube here.
- Anybody that's planning on going to San Diego Comic Con this year may be interested in a contest that can get you VIP treatment for the con's PR-based events and panels. More information can be found at the official PR Facebook page here.

- Last week we mentioned the theory that "a lot of folks think Samurai's ratings would get a significant bump if the show moved new episodes to Saturdays permanently". Looks like that's about to be tested, as the next episodes we have airdates for have indeed been moved from Sunday up to Saturday. Please to be changing your DVR settings!
- Our own thesecondbatgirl attended No Pink Spandex Live this weekend, alongside quite a few of our followers. Word from the masses is that the event was "freaking amazing" and that David Yost is the nicest ever. We're glad everyone had fun! For those who couldn't make it, pictures and video are coming in the future.
- The Samurai Rangers visit the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll.
- The Samurai Rangers also stopped by a school in Arkansas as part of their emPOWER program. Click here to learn more about the emPOWER program.

Well, That Was Unexpected

News
This "emergency" report isn't nearly as important as the last one we did back in May about Saban getting a hold of PR again, but anyways. Those of you who don't check the forums or various journal communities may be unaware that a new episode of Samurai is airing this Sunday. Previously, the next episode, Forest for the Trees, wasn't airing until April 10, but it's been moved up to two days from now. Word around the rumor mill is that this is because the ratings for Samurai are just that good, although it's worth noting that only one episode was moved forward; Test of the Leader will still air in late April. Either way, be sure to turn on your TV's or DVR boxes this Sunday at noon.
